The 2025 BataleonBeyond Medals hastakes its inspiration from the fan favourites Goliath and Whatever to create this unique, directional twin board, with an elongated nose and squared off tail. Designed to be able to be ridden in any condition possible, the Beyond Medals has the perfect stiffness and and response to have next level versatility so it can throw down in the park, rip groomers on the resort and slay any depth of pow. Developed with Tor Lundstrom and the BYND x MDLS crew with the desire to design a board to match his riding style perfectly, the Beyond Medals is a true weapon of a snowboard to be used in any condition imaginable.
Features:
- Rider Level:Intermediate – Expert
- Board Type:All Mountain Freestyle
- Flex:7/10(1 = soft, 10 = stiff)
- Softer snowboards are easier to press and handle if you make a mistake. Stiffer boards are more stable at speed and super responsive edge-to-edge.
- Float:62/100
- Maximum volume for surfy vibes in the pow, or a smaller surface area for nimble freestyle performance. This number is calculated with length, width, 3D shape and surface distribution.
- Outline Shape:DirectionalTwin
- Boards that need to excel both on the slopes and out of bounds are shaped with evenly proportioned centre and side bases and a medium uplift striking the optimal balance for freestyle and freeriding.
- Camber Profile:Medium Camber
- All 3BT boards have a positive camber profile but vary in the degree of camber and uplift across the width of the board.Higher camber make for more dynamic boards that need to be ridden more aggressively to get maximum performance. Lower camber boards are smoother on lower speeds and in powder. All camber profiles run from nose to tail.
- 3D Shape:3BT + Sidekick
- 3BT –At the heart of every Bataleon is 3BT (Triple Base Technology). It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimises the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance.
- Sidekick –Sidekick dramatically increases the amount of uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation smoother, enhances float, and improves handling in rough terrain.
- Sidebase Uplift:High Nose, Low Tail
- The gradual side base uplift determines how the board will behave on snow. Most effected are the edge to edge performance and the uplift generated when riding powder.Any amount of uplift brings all the benefits of Triple Base Technology, making Bataleon boards more versatile than others.
- Core:UltraLight Core
- The Ultra Light Core features a70-30 Swiss paulownia and poplar wood blend for an unparalleled strength to weight ratio.
- Tri-Ax Laminate –A 3-way fibreglass weave that strengthens the flex pattern and keeps the board light, strong, and responsive.
- Carbon Stringers –This board has two carbon stringers running down the middle of the board from outside the inserts, putting extra lightweight power underfoot and through the centre of the board for better response and stability.
- D.R.S.T. –Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four extra Super Tubes (six in total) running parallel to the board radius, delivering extra power to the edges.
- Flex Walls
- Base:Ultra GlideS
- A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and fast.
- Mounting Pattern:2×4 Inserts
- 28 Inserts
- +2 Backseat Inserts
